Definitely read the book before seeing this movie. There is so much to this story you will miss otherwise. The movie is good enough to rent for sure... I will warn you though, I think I started crying 5 minutes in and throughout the rest of the movie. It's a good story, just very tough.
I can tell you this, I've been thinking alot about adoption lately and I am almost certain I will adopt from an Asian country someday. Those kids... it just breaks my heart.
